Expectations for the Osaka-Kansai Expo
Under the theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” we have high expectations that innovative proposals across diverse fields such as healthcare, environment, and digital technology will be presented, accelerating international collaboration toward the realization of a sustainable society. As a gathering place for wisdom and technology from around the world, we sincerely hope this will mark a significant step forward in addressing the challenges of future society and wish for its great success.
Expectations for DOIC
We hope that even after the conclusion of the Expo, its spirit will be carried forward, functioning as a sustainable hub for open innovation through collaboration among industry, academia, and government. This hub should serve as a platform for sharing social issues, co-creating solutions, and disseminating outcomes.
Overview of Our Organization / University / Research
The Laboratory of Dynamic Bioinformation Applications conducts research primarily focused on biosignal processing and bio-big data analysis. The laboratory is led by Professor Emi Yuda, who holds positions at the Center for Semiconductor and Digital Future Creation, Organization for the Promotion of Research Infrastructure, and the Department of Information Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Mie University. In addition, she serves as a Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, Tohoku University (under a cross-appointment system) and as a Visiting Professor at the Public Chitose Institute of Science and Technology.
The laboratory promotes cutting-edge research across a wide range of fields, including engineering, information science, and health science, with notable achievements in recent years in the area of Pervasive Health. In addition to fundamental research, such as elucidating the mechanisms of biological fluctuations and exploring the interactions between the brain and heart rate, the lab actively engages in industry-academia-government collaboration, advancing research and development with a focus on social implementation.
