DOIC®(Digital Open Innovation Campus)?
What’s DOIC

Industry-Academia-Government
Open Innovation
Global Ecosystem
DOIC (Digital Open Innovation Campus) is a global ecosystem development initiative aimed at fostering Industry-Academia-Government open innovation through EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
DOIC is a global showcase for cutting-edge research utilizing the metaverse.
The Vision of DOIC
The global academic community aims to co-create with corporations and other social implementation leaders, contributing to the happiness of people worldwide through diverse scientific and technological content. This aligns with the mission of realizing the dream of a world where “no one is left behind,” as envisioned by the SDGs. To achieve this mission, we intend to begin by fostering a collaborative environment where researchers, primarily from Japanese academia, work as members of society alongside various companies and government entities. Through science and technology, we aim to contribute to the happiness of people around the globe.
As a platform for this collaborative environment, we will establish the Digital Open Innovation Campus (DOIC), a space that allows anyone to access it easily, anytime, and anywhere. This platform will enable global networking and diverse creative activities. By utilizing DOIC, we aim to build an ecosystem where global social challenges can be resolved through collective cooperation. Through the experience of mutual aid activities, where people around the world understand each other’s perspectives and help one another, individuals will feel the inspiration of solving global issues together. This sense of inspiration will spread and be shared, creating a virtuous cycle that generates the energy needed for humanity to shape the next generation. This marks the first step toward achieving such a future.

We sponsored the Theme Week program “The Future of Earth and Biodiversity.”
On September 20, 2025, at the Osaka-Kansai Expo site,
we hosted the DOIC International Symposium, “Decarbonization and Renewable Energy: Transforming Toward a Sustainable Future.”
This program was implemented as part of an effort to “form a viable global innovation cluster” as a theme week participation program during the Expo.
Focusing on the future of the planet and key agendas such as biodiversity, decarbonization, renewable energy, and the circular economy, experts and leaders from around the world gathered to discuss and make recommendations for the implementation of a future society.
